The European Researchers Night 2021 project – REGGAE: Researchers for European Green Growth and Education – is coordinated by Ciência Viva in partnership with i3S and ITQB, with the support of the Ciência Viva Centers Network.

The Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos was a partner in this 2021 edition.

     
 

 Aprender para Valorizar - Erasmus +

  With this project, the Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos intended to underline one of its strategic priorities, affirming and considering that human resources are the greatest wealth of any organization. This specific training project meets two major needs: strengthening the skills of the CCVL team and broadening the Centre's influence both in terms of activities and, above all, in terms of target audiences, also reinforcing the participation and collaboration of CCVL in national and international projects.
     
 

3D Mask Portugal

During the first lockdown, the Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos printed and distributed face shields free of charge at various institutions in the Municipalities of Lagos and Portimão. Our two 3D printers are printing non-stop at the home of a member of our team, as well as those of several volunteers!

     
 

 EcoScience

january 2019 - december 2019

  The proposal presented by the Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos (CCVL) for the Ecoscience project focused on contributing to the increase of scientific and technological literacy within the theme of sustainability. It was implemented in the Algarve and had as partners the Centros Ciência Viva do Algarve and Tavira, the Marine and Environmental Research Center (CIMA) of the University of the Algarve and the Associação A Rocha. The project involved the implementation of an EcoDay in several schools, the holding of a scientific congress by secondary school students, the creation of scientific itineraries that combined leisure with the science of the natural environment and the holding of participatory meetings mainly for the adult audience, as well as lectures and workshops for the senior audience (Science Senior).
     
   

A Minha Praia - OPP2017

This was an environmental monitoring and awareness-raising project for the conservation of the marine environment and the promotion of sustainable consumption habits, through environmental civic actions and citizen science.

     
     

SoundMakers

september 2017 - july de 2018

  Using Tunas academic spirit and dynamics to promote the integration of new students, the aim of this project was to promote teamwork for the production of original sound equipment based on the Maker culture.
     
 

IBM

september 2017 - september 2018

 

In partnership with IBM Portugal, the Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos developed a program of STEM activities with the aim of bringing children, young people and teachers closer to Scientific and Technological Culture.

4 workshops, 3 free activities and 400 children were involved in this program.


 
   
     
 

Saúde a 4 Tempos

january to december 2015

 

Saúde a 4 Tempos was a Science Communication project whose main objective was to disseminate and foster enlightened debate on various themes in the area of Health, including the research being developed in our country, the actions and campaigns of the Health Centers and hospitals in the Algarve region, as well as promoting good practices for a healthier region and, consequently, with a better quality of life.
